Business Development Consultant

Our client, based in Pinetown, seeks a Business Development Consultant to join their dynamic team. 

 

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Minimum 2 years sales experience
  • Short-term insurance experience and has preferably worked in a sales position in the insurance field
  • Responds positively to tight deadlines, competition, and is profit-and-cost-conscious


The successful candidate will be required to perform / manage the following:

  • Identify all new business opportunities, achieving targets as set out
  • Maintain a structured and well-organized prospecting and calling program on new and existing customers
  • Value add to the existing customers by cross selling
  • Keep abreast with the market and competitor changes
  • Be responsible for decisions, basing ones actions on the impact of performance
  • Make active effort to ensure professional branding influence at events functions, presentations and marketing material
  • Ensure planning, organizing and controlling of projects are based on performance
  • Ensure a professional image is created to form a good impression
  • Ensure a timeous and high standard of correspondence and applications
  • Ensure that customers understand the process from start up to the final reporting
  • Keep abreast with customer requests, resolving problems, improving service and productivity
  • Seek advice and contribute ideas, being a team player
  • Adhere to all procedures and policies

 

Salary Offered:  R6 000 – R8 000 + comm
