Human Resources Officer 

My client, in Durban, seeks a Human Resources Officer to provide a professional HR service to employees and managers in a unionized environment.

The ideal candidate will have / be:

  • Matric
  • A tertiary education is Hurman Resources
  • Minimum 3 years experience in HR in a generalist position
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, SAP Psiber and C Works experience is an added advantage
  • Ability to plan and organise
  • Must be able to work accurately and with many interruptions
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse workforce and at all levels in the organisation
  • Team player
  • Customer serivce orientated
  • Highly process driven


The succesful candidate wil be required to perform and / or manage the following key performance areas:

  • Monitoring and maintaining time and attendance systems, leave processes and HR Admin (including submissions to payroll)
  • HR advisor in disciplinary hearings
  • Minute taker in all HR related meetings
  • Provide inductions to new employees
  • Training administration and planning
  • General HR related functions, including monitoring and submission of EE and WSP
  • Employee relations
  • Recruitment and selection procedures
